Certificates of Achievement are offered in a variety of technical-vocational areas. After the first two years at Sierra College, many students transfer to top quality public and private universities for their final two years. Excellent faculty, smaller classes and lower tuition fees are great advantages for international students.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL)
Sierra College offers an ESL Program with courses in reading, writing, and listening/speaking. Upon arrival, each student completes an assessment test to determine the appropriate level of study. Courses at beginning levels are designed for students to enroll full-time. Courses at upper levels are designed for students to enroll part-time so that they can also begin to take other college classes. Students will receive full college credit for courses taken at the upper levels and may also receive credit for these courses once they transfer to a four-year university.

CAMPUS LIFE
With an enrollment of approximately 18,000 students and a small percentage of international students, a great opportunity awaits students wishing to improve their English skills. Sierra College students may participate in an active Student Government and many campus clubs, intercollegiate athletics and intramural sports. Sports facilities include a swimming pool, gymnasium, fitness/cardio room, and fields for soccer and football. There is also a theatre, art gallery, and science museum.
